Quick License Manager Enterprise is sold on a per-developer seat basis (developer refers to developers or administrators). You need to purchase 1 copy of Quick License Manager Enterprise for each developer/administrator system on which you install it. For each purchased license, you can install a single copy of the Quick License Manager Enterprise License Server on a single server, be it at your site or hosted at an ISP. You can distribute the Quick License Manager DLLs royalty-free as long as your product does not compete directly or indirectly with Quick License Manager.
You can use QLM Enterprise to protect Cross Platform Applications. There is no additional cost per protected application. You can generate an unlimited number of keys.
When you purchase a subscription of QLM Professional, Document, or Enterprise, you are entitled to use QLM and its API while the subscription is active. If you do not renew the subscription, you are not authorized to continue using QLM and the QLM API in any context.
Example: Your company develops 3 products. You have 10 developers working on the 3 products. 3 out of the 10 developers need to work with the Quick License Manager Enterprise API and install QLM Enterprise on their system. You should purchase 3 licenses of Quick License Manager Enterprise. In addition, each license you purchase entitles you to install the Quick License Manager License Server on 1 server for the purpose of generating keys. Your support representative uses the Quick License Manager Enterprise Management Console to manage the keys issued by your Quick License Manager Enterprise server. You should purchase an additional license for the support representative.

If your product is an SDK rather than an application, the QLM SDK Protection add-on entitles you to protect your SDK with QLM.
The QLM SDK Protection is an add-on to QLM Pro or QLM Enterprise. You must first purchase the required number of licenses of QLM Pro or QLM Enterprise in order to purchase QLM SDK Protection. When you purchase QLM SDK Protection, you receive a special SDK license key that you must include in your SDK to enable the QLM API. The QLM SDK Protection license is a site license that can be used on an unlimited number of products within your organization.
What do we consider an SDK? If your product is not a standalone application and is executed by your end-user in the context of a debugger, it is considered an SDK.
The QLM Portal is a web based application sold on a yearly subscription model. Each license of the QLM Portal entitles you to install a single copy of the QLM Portal on the same web server where the QLM License Server is located. The QLM Portal licensing is two-fold: the core license entitles you to create a single user account and use the QLM Portal. To give other users or affiliates access to the QLM Portal, you need to purchase a yearly QLM Portal User License for each user that needs to login to the portal.
Example: Your company has 3 administrators (Tom, Jim, Kim) that need to manage license keys and 2 resellers (Bob, Sam). Of the 3 administrators, only Tom needs the advanced features of the QLM Management Console. The other two administrators need basic features such as creating licenses customers, etc.
You need to purchase 1 x QLM Portal license for Jim and 1 x QLM Portal User License for Kim (Tom will not have access to the Portal). You also need to purchase 2 QLM Portal User Licenses for Bob and Sam.
Each QLM Pro, QLM Document Protection or QLM Enterprise license entitles you to install the QLM License Server on one machine. This machine could be local for development purposes or it could be your production License Server hosted on your own server in the cloud.
If you would like Soraco to host your License Server, you need to purchase the QLM License Server Hosting product in addition to the QLM Pro, or QLM Enterprise licenses.

The QLM Yearly Maintenance Plan entitles you to receive:
Each QLM Express, Pro or Enterprise license requires its own maintenance plan.
The cost of the Yearly Maintenance Plan is 20% of the cost of the license.
The Yearly Maintenance Plan is a yearly subscription that is automatically renewed. It must be purchased at the same time as your QLM license. It cannot be purchased retroactively. Prior to renewal, you will receive two email messages with an option to cancel the maintenance plan.
The Yearly Maintenance Plan does not cover support for installing nor maintaining a self-hosted license server.
Quick License Manager Express is sold on a per-developer seat basis (developer refers to developers or administrators). You need to purchase 1 copy of Quick License Manager Express for each system on which you install it. You can distribute the Quick License Manager DLLs royalty free as long as your product does not compete directly or indirectly with Quick License Manager. If you install the Quick License Manager DLL on a server for the purpose of generating or activating keys, you need to purchase an additional license for the server.
You can use QLM Express to protect Windows Desktop Applications only. You can use your Quick License Manager Express licenses to protect any number of applications. You can generate an unlimited number of keys.

You have 10 developers working on the 3 products. 3 out of the 10 developers need to work with the Quick License Manager API and install Quick License Manager Express on their system. You should purchase 3 licenses of Quick License Manager Express. You install Quick License Manager Express or the Quick License Manager DLLs on a system for the purpose of generating keys. You should purchase an additional license for that system. Your support representative uses the Quick License Manager Express user interface to generate and validate license keys.
