QLM Web Service
The QLM web service is an ASP.NET 2.0 web service.
The requirements on the server are:
- Windows 2003 server or higher (x86 or x64).
- SQL Server database or MS-Access drivers
In addition, the IIS server should allow .NET assemblies that require Full Trust. The QLM web service depends on unmanaged C++ DLLs which inherently require Full Trust.
If you are using an ISP to host the web service on a shared server, you need to make sure you use the right ISP or the right plan to host the QLM web service.
Many ISPs allow Full Trust assemblies on a shared server. Additionally, we (Soraco) offer a service to host the QLM web service. Check our web site for more details.
The error you would get if your ISP does not support assemblies that require FullTrust is System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission.
QLMAspClient
The QLMAspClient is the portal for affiliates to generate license keys. This portal requires AJAX 1.0.
To download AJAX 1.0, click here. AJAX 1.0 must be installed on the server.
The affiliates portal also requires Microsoft SQL Server.
QLMAspLicenseSite
The QlmAspLicenseSite provides 2 features: (a) a page where users can activate their license key and (b) a page that displays licensing information.
The QlmAspLicenseSite requires .NET 3.5.
Soraco Web Hosting Plan
Soraco offers a yearly hosting plan for QLM Web service. We setup and host the QLM Web service for you, backup your database on a daily basis to a remote location and upgrade the webservice when a new version is released. In case of a disaster or loss of data, we will recover your database from the remote location. The cost of the hosting service does not include a QLM Professional or Enterprise license.
